The symposium is partly sponsored by SPARC, under the SPARC-UKIERI joint research project titled "Inspiring Researchers of Tomorrow in Sustainable Concrete Construction", between the Indian Institute of Technology Indore, India, and the University of Plymouth, UK. SPARC aims to promote strong research collaboration between Indian Research groups with top research group in the leading Universities of the world, in areas that are at the cutting edge of science or with direct social relevance. The SPARC-UKIERI project is focused on promoting sustainable construction practice of utilizing C&D waste as aggregates through collaborative research between young researchers. The symposium provides an opportunity for the young researchers to showcase the research outcomes, interact with their peers and take the next step of becoming researchers of tomorrow.
